VCV Rack 2 phase laboratory

MultiPhaser

Ninety-nine coherent all-pass stages, exposed from sweep to individual tap.

Architecture

One phase network, several ways to enter it.

Two stereo chains evaluate all ninety-nine stages continuously. The main module crossfades fractional stage addresses, Tap Out exposes sixteen independently placed stereo pairs, and Tap Scanner moves across a selectable range under CV or clock control.

Public baseline

Version 2.4.0 is frozen in source.

The current repository records the VCV family, portable DSP engine, MetaModule companion, Daisy firmware, and disting NT algorithm in one clean public history. The externally circulated platform-test snapshot remains version 2.3.0 until the 2.4.0 VCV build completes its Apple Silicon gate.

PhaseQ

A smaller voice for chains and stereo motion.

PhaseQ packages one variable-Q second-order all-pass section with CV over frequency, Q, mix, and bipolar feedback. Separate wet and mixed outputs support cascades, notch responses, and animated stereo pairs without the expander bus.

MultiPhaser was prompted by open phaser work, including MSM Phaser and Ross Bencina’s classic MusicDSP example. Its coefficient calculation, stereo engine, tap protocol, and scanner are independently implemented.
